So much excitement!
It is with much excitement and honor this week that we were awarded the first Australia Made license for a Workplace Safety Tech Product!
We have been jumping around the office and there have been more than a few high fives between our tech wizards, marketing team and designers. The tech world is abuzz with the news too, and it couldn’t come at a better time as we enjoy what has been a stellar launch in 2018.
“This is the icing on the cake,” says our founder Martin Stow “The Australia Made campaign is a reflection of integrity, and we are so proud to be an approved part of it.”
According to Australia Made sources, there is a direct correlation between consumer purchasing behavior and employment, prosperity and growth.
‘Research published by the Industry Capability Network shows that for every $1 million of new or retained manufacturing business in Australia, the following effects flow through the economy:
$333,900 worth of tax revenue generated
$985,000 worth of value-added generated
$95,000 worth of welfare benefits saved
Ten full-time jobs created.’
It makes sense to buy things that have been made right here in Australia. (www.icn.org.au)’
At the same time, our launch of our Saved Assets Calculator has sales staff and enquiring customers shaking their heads in shock and more than a bit of happiness as the savings roll in. The algorithm was designed in-house and is a digital tool capable of calculating the exact cost savings to organisations and small businesses when they move to the Digital system.
Paperless Council Departments
In 2018 BERT has taken a Victorian country council to a paperless system within various departments and the feedback is wonderful. Col Shepard, Acting Manager of Operation Works at Gannawarra says;
“We went from paper-based reporting that was generic and went with this model to help increase safety and create a better system. Now it is fully customized, easier to use and makes more sense to employees. When compared to some other tech-based systems out there, we found this one to be more affordable and to be honest; you get someone on the end of the phone, the backup service and relationship is better. It is more relevant and cohesive.”
It is estimated that with a business of 12 employees the product can save anywhere up and over $160,000 a year. Not a bad saving for small business or organizations. According to the McKinsey report, Australians spend 1.8 hours every day on average searching and collaborating information in their job.
When you calculate this at an hourly rate in a year, the stats stack up shockingly.
Not for Profit
Not for Profits and Government organizations are showing much interest, as the reduction in resources and increase in revenue cannot be ignored. Staff are able to report positively meeting KPIs and smashing their budget whilst also meeting sustainability criteria.
Martin says they are passionate about making the industry better than when they found it. Sourcing the very best up and coming Australian tech talent available is important. Another testament to the power of the Australian Made Campaign, with Aussies supporting Aussies, helping the economy which now also includes the Digital landscape as well.
